Wardrobe Details
Please read this carefully and follow all guidelines. THESE ARE GENERAL GUIDELINES
FOR THE MOVIE OVERALL- IF YOU WERE GIVEN A PASSWORD FOR A WEBSITE OR E-MAILED INFORMATION FOR A SCENE YOU ARE WORKING ON,
YOU SHOULD ONLY FOLLOW THE WARDROBE GUIDELINES PROVIDED IN THAT INFORMATION.
The film's style is "contemporary yet classic." The world that is being created
is not a superficial, trendy place. Think timeless styles such as double-breasted suits, collared shirts, pencil
skirts and a-line dresses.
We will ask you to volunteer to bring at least three complete wardrobe options
for the costumers to look at. They will style you as they see fit based on the clothes that you bring and what they
can offer. When we ask that you volunteer to bring options, these are NOT "changes" unless you are specifically
notified. It is important to the look of the film that everyone is dressed to complement the world we are trying
to create. Do NOT bring clothes with any logos or symbols.
It is almost as if there is no imagination
in this world; clothes are NOT an expression of character. Because of this, please do not bring clothes with any
real patterns (like flowers or swirls). Patterns such as tweed, plaid and stripes would work well in the film.
Colors that we really like in this world are warm and muted. Examples are brown, mustard, green,
and burnt orange. As mentioned, it is a very classic style- there will not be any denim worn in the film.
Colors to avoid bringing as an option include: shades of blue, hot pink, teal, chartreuse, and any bright color at
all.
Please do NOT bring wardrobe options to the casting
call.
